Is Golden Triangle Dentistry still on the UFCW provider list?

Yes. UFCW Local 1167’s provider list, posted at ufcw1167.org, includes Golden Triangle Dentistry at 25460 Medical Center Dr, Suite 202, with our phone number, (951) 677-1054.

The doctor names shown on the list may not be up to date. The office, address and phone number are the same, and Dr. Neff’s letter to patients says we continue to accept the same insurance plans, “including the UFCW member dental plan.”

Dr. William L. Neff Jr., DDS has retired. Dr. H. Pourshirazi, DMD is now caring for patients, and Dr. Meerweis Stanisai, DDS continues to see patients. Read the letter to our patients.

What does UFCW Local 1167 say about its contracted providers?

In the union’s own words, dental offices on Local 1167’s provider list “generally accept Trust Fund payments as payment in full for approved covered treatment.”

The same page adds that “members should always verify coverage with the provider before treatment begins.” Our listing also carries an asterisk, which the page explains this way: “There may be a co-payment.”

So before any treatment, call us with your member information. Our team is happy to help.

What if I’m in a prepaid dental plan?

Prepaid plan members aren’t covered through the providers on Local 1167’s list. The provider list says plainly: “Members enrolled in prepaid dental plans do not have coverage through the providers listed on this page.”

A prepaid plan, also called a dental HMO, generally pays only for care at the office contracted with that plan. Not sure which plan you have? Check your member materials or call the UFCW Local 1167 Insurance Department at (909) 877-1110, the number the provider list gives for questions.

Prepaid plan members are still welcome to call and ask about our payment options and financing.

How do I check if a dentist accepts my UFCW insurance?

Call the dental office before treatment and give them your plan details. For Golden Triangle Dentistry, that means calling (951) 677-1054 with your member information.

Ask whether your plan applies here, whether there may be a co-payment, and how your treatment is covered. For questions about the union benefits themselves, call Local 1167’s Insurance Department.

What should I bring to my first visit?

What’s new for UFCW members and their families?

More care is coming to the same office you know. Specialist care for oral surgery, root canal treatment, braces and aligners and children’s dentistry will be available right here, so you won’t need to travel to another office.

Dental implants are placed in our office, from start to finish. The letter also describes updated technology, including 3D imaging, digital X-rays and digital impressions, “for more comfortable visits and fewer appointments.”

Coverage depends on your plan, so check before treatment begins.

Should I use my dental benefits before the year ends?

If your plan renews at the end of the year, yes. Dr. Neff’s letter put it this way: “Many dental benefits renew at the end of the year, and our team is happy to help you use yours before then.”

Many dental plans have a December 31 benefit deadline, but some run on a different schedule, so check your plan documents. Haven’t had a checkup in a while? Call us to book one.
