Insurance and payment

We continue to accept the same insurance plans as before, and more payment choices are on the way.

Do you still accept my insurance? We continue to accept the same insurance plans as before, and we work with most dental insurance plans, including most PPO plans. Coverage depends on your own plan, so call (951) 677-1054 with your plan details before treatment. Learn how benefits work on our dental insurance page.

Do you accept the UFCW dental plan? Yes. We continue to accept the UFCW member dental plan, and our office is on UFCW Local 1167’s list of contracted dental providers. Members enrolled in prepaid dental plans don’t have coverage through listed providers, so confirm your plan first. See our UFCW dental plan page.

What payment options do you accept? We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and CareCredit. More payment choices, with flexible financing options to help fit care into your budget, are being added. If you have dental insurance, use it first. See payment options and financing for tips on planning for care.

Do my dental benefits expire at the end of the year? For many plans, yes. Many insurance companies have a benefit deadline of December 31, and for most dental plans unused benefits don’t roll over. Some plans run on a different schedule, so check your plan documents. Our team is happy to help you use your benefits before they renew.

Care and what’s new

More care is coming to the same office you know, so you won’t need to travel to another office for many services.

What new services are coming to Golden Triangle Dentistry? Specialist care for oral surgery, root canal treatment, braces and aligners, and children’s dentistry will be available right here, so you won’t need to travel to another office. See all our dental services, including root canal treatment and braces and clear aligners.

Can I get dental implants without going to another office? Yes. Dental implants are placed in our office, from start to finish. An implant is an artificial tooth root placed in the jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Good candidates are generally in good overall health, with healthy gums and enough bone to support the implant. Learn more about dental implants.

What is 3D dental imaging? Cone beam CT (CBCT) is a type of 3D dental imaging. It uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to build a three-dimensional image of the teeth, mouth and jaw, and it’s used for things like implant planning. Because it typically uses more radiation than regular dental X-rays, it should be used only when needed. See 3D imaging and digital impressions.

What other technology is new? Along with 3D imaging, our updated technology includes digital X-rays and digital impressions. Dr. Neff’s letter describes these updates as being “for more comfortable visits and fewer appointments.” You may not need X-rays at every visit. How often depends on your oral health, age, risk of disease and any symptoms.

Do you see children? Yes. We care for children, and parents are welcome to stay with their child during visits. A child’s first dental visit should happen after the first tooth appears, but no later than the first birthday. Visit our children’s dentistry page to learn more.

What should I do in a dental emergency? Call us first at (951) 677-1054. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for facial swelling that affects your breathing, swallowing or vision, a high fever with swelling, bleeding that won’t stop with pressure, or a serious injury to your face or jaw. Read more about emergency dental care.
