What payment options does Golden Triangle Dentistry accept?

Golden Triangle Dentistry accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and CareCredit. More payment choices, with flexible financing options to help fit care into your budget, are being added. If you have dental insurance, use it first, and call (951) 677-1054 with questions about paying for your care.

What payment options do you accept?

You can pay by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. We also accept CareCredit, a healthcare credit card.

We’re adding more. Dr. Neff’s letter to patients describes “more payment choices, with flexible financing options to help fit care into your budget.” As new options are added, our team can tell you what’s available.

Do dental offices offer financing?

Many do. Financing is sometimes offered to make paying for dental care more manageable, and it can involve a credit card, such as a healthcare credit card.

At our Murrieta office, CareCredit is accepted today, and more financing choices are being added. Ask our team what’s available when you plan your treatment.

Questions to ask before you choose a payment option

Ask these before you sign anything.

  • What does my insurance cover? Use your benefits first, then plan for the part you owe.
  • When does interest start? Read the agreement for the promotion end date and the rate that applies after it.
  • What will I pay each month? Make sure your monthly payment clears the balance before any promotion ends.
  • Are there fees? Check for late fees and other charges, and write down your due dates.
  • Is there a lower-cost way to pay? Compare with a card you already have or a loan from your bank or credit union.

How do “no interest” financing offers work?

A “no interest” offer usually means you pay no interest only if you pay off the full balance before the promotion ends. If you miss a payment or still owe money when it ends, interest can be added on the full original amount, not just what’s left.

Before you sign up, read the agreement so you know when interest starts, when it might change and when fees apply. Keep copies of anything you sign.

Figure out how much you can pay each month, and check whether that amount will clear the balance before the offer ends. The minimum payment may not be enough.

Ask before you apply

Find out what your insurance covers first. Then compare the cost with other ways to pay, such as a card you already have or a loan from your bank or credit union.

How can I budget for dental treatment?

Start with a clear plan. Ask for information about fees and payment options before treatment is scheduled, so you know what to expect.

If you need several treatments, ask your dentist which needs are most urgent and whether the rest can be done in steps. Spreading care out can make it easier to fit into your budget, and it may let you use benefits from more than one plan year.

Keep up with checkups too. Most adults and children should have a routine exam about every six months, and X-rays can reveal problems that aren’t visible during an exam, such as new cavities. Learn more about cleanings and exams.

Should I use my insurance before financing?

Yes. Ask what your insurance covers before you commit to any financing, so you only finance the part you owe.

We continue to accept the same insurance plans as before, including the UFCW member dental plan, and we work with most PPO plans. See dental insurance and UFCW member plans to learn how benefits work.

How do year-end dental benefits affect my budget?

Many dental benefits renew at the end of the year, and for most plans unused benefits don’t roll over. Many insurance companies have a December 31 deadline, though some plans run on a different schedule.

If you have a flexible spending account (FSA), that money generally must be used within the plan year or grace period. FSA money can pay deductibles, copayments and certain dental expenses.

As Dr. Neff’s letter says, “our team is happy to help you use yours before then.” Call (951) 677-1054 or book a visit.

Questions & answers

Common questions

Do you accept CareCredit?

Yes. Golden Triangle Dentistry accepts CareCredit, a healthcare credit card. Its terms are set by the card company, so read the agreement before you apply, especially the promotion end date and the interest rate that applies afterward. Our team can answer questions about using it at our office.

What other financing options will you offer?

Dr. Neff’s letter to patients describes “more payment choices, with flexible financing options to help fit care into your budget.” Those options are being added, and we’ll share details as they become available. Until then, call (951) 677-1054 and ask our team what’s available today.

Can I pay for dental care with my FSA?

Usually. HealthCare.gov says FSA money can cover certain medical and dental expenses, including deductibles and copayments, for you, your spouse and your dependents. Check your plan for its deadline, since money left over at the end of the plan year or grace period is lost.

Can I find out what treatment will cost before it starts?

Ask. The American Dental Association’s MouthHealthy site suggests asking whether fees and payment plans are explained before treatment is scheduled. Call (951) 677-1054 and our team will answer your questions about your treatment plan and what your insurance may cover.

What if I can’t afford all my treatment at once?

Talk with your dentist. Ask which needs are most urgent and whether other care can be planned in steps. Using your insurance first, timing care around your benefit year and choosing a payment option you understand can all help. Call (951) 677-1054 to talk with our team.
